A lot of updates, two new schools!

I just got back from an almost 2-month long trip to India. This time I went to school there! My schools name was CAD, and I had a driver uncle who would come pick me up from dadi-dada's place and take me to school and drop me back. I cried the first few days and asked for mommy to go with me but after a few days the driver uncle sad mommy wasnt allowd and I quickly adapted to that change. I learnt Jana Gana Mana at CAD. I love to stand up and sing it all day long. We had a monsoon mela in school where we had a buttawala making fresh roasted corn, our teachers helped us make paper boats, we did some fishing with a toy fishing pole, our teachers had set up charts showing the rain cycle and the best part of it was - animals! There were some rain animals- frog, earthworm, turtle, crab and we got to touch most of them. I have also been speaking a lot of Hindi ever since.

I also joined dance class in school and I learnt some great dance moves on "I hate love stories" and "Oh Girl- you're mine" from Housefull. I loves going to my dance class. As Ganpati was round the corner towards my last few days in Mumbai we went to Lalbaug to check some of the Ganpatis getting ready for the season. I saw some great Ganpatis - on peacocks, elephants and I liked the mouse that goes with each idol.

I celebrated my first Raksha bandhan with Anaya and she was the center of attraction with 3 brothers.

Now that I am back in USA, I started at my new big school. Mommy or papa drop me everyday and this is a really huge school with so many kids, and I have adapted quickly to this new school. I am usually so excited to go to school it doesnt bother me to say bye to mommy or papa.

Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother

I got this cool set of different colored clay on my friend Zoeys birthday. I was playing with it with mom and she made me fairy Godmother's magic wand with a star. Once we made it it was time for role play. I told mom I would be the fairy Godmother and she would be Cinderella. I waved my wand and told Cinderella, "My wand doesnt have your coach. Go walking to the ball!"

After Ana gave me this lego set mom found me quiet in my room for a good half hour. She came up to check on me, and I
was engrossed creating my first Lego car!

 

Trick Question

Since I love books, dadi and dada got me a lot of books. Dada read to me the story of the hare and the tortoise. The hare is fast and the tortoise is slow and steady. The hare gets ahead of the tortoise and goes to sleep mid-way in the race and the slow, steady tortoise wins. When I am slow eating my food dada asks me often "Do you want to be the hare or the tortoise?" This is a no-brainer to me and I quickly say "I wanna be the hare!". Funnily enough, it makes mom smile.

I love puzzles. I have finally got to the stage where I will stay engrossed in quiet play for a while (sometimes upto 30 minutes) with my puzzles. Papa gets me new puzzles which I love!

You will often catch me talking with my imaginary friend. I will say what I am doing, why and whats next and yes, I do talk a lot!

Cupcakes and Clementines

On my birthday, I took cupcakes and clementines to school for all my friends. Dadi and mom came to celebrate in school. They sang Happy birthday to Aariv which made me a little shy and I needed mom to blow out the candles with me.






In the evening kaki and kaka got me another cake yay!








I received some great gifts! I got a airplane that really flies! I also got a got a super workshop complete with tools and a real drillmachine and screws and it is now set up in my room! I also got some giant puzzles and playdoh which I can easily spend hours with.

Im a Super Soccer Star!

I recently started my first soccer class, I love it! It is so much fun moving the soccer ball to the goal and singing "you can never touch the ball with your hands" and kicking the ball to the coach and waking them up. My coaches sure are funny!

Soccer class!

I recently started my soccer class and it is so much fun! My coach is called coach Angie, or coach A. My I love going and playing with my friends and coach A. Papa got me a soccer ball and we go out for soccer sometimes in the evenings.

What else is new.. I love learning nursery rhymes and you will find me singing all day - wheels on the bus or quack quack quack. At times mom would not follow me completely so she got a list of the songs we learnt at school and surprised me by playing them in the car the other day! Ever since, that has become my favorite CD I always ask to listen to when Im being driven around in the car.

Now that Im a big brother I have been helping mom aroud with a lot of stuff - grocery shopping, in the kitchen, with laundry so as to allow my dadi and dada to take care of Anaya. I was sick recently- I got my second ear infection and the Doc said it was big. That explains why I was so clingy. We got these ear drops which should take care of it.

I am almost 3 now! Im gonna take cupcakes to share with my friends in school. I cant wait to see how that goes!
