Funny Mommy

I have a sense of humor now.

This incident happened when I was in Pre-K 3 some time back. Mom picked me up from school and was driving me back home. At this time I usually open my lunchbox and take care of the leftovers. My school asks us to slice our grapes to avoid choking. While eating my leftover grapes I giggled saying "funny mommy - you forgot to cut one of the grapes!"

This is what I was busy with while most at my home were busy watching the first innings of the Cricket world cup finals which India won! I reall had a great time building a tulip planter!

My first choreographed dance performance!

 

Our families applauded this performance in this one with my frinds Syra and Prabha. This was after a lot of practise with my dance teacher Miss Shen. I think I have come a long way since my "Desi Girl"

Holi!

 

This year we celebrated Holi in my school by carefully putting color on our friends faces. It was so exciting!

My Golden birthday!!

My aunt Mofi pointed out it is my 4th birthday on the 4th of Feb so it is my golden birthday today, a special day indeed. I am a pretty chatty 4 year old I hear people say. It was a wonderful day - Anaya had worn a dress to school and I told Ana when she called me "Because it is my birthday and Anaya is looking beautiful today" Awww..those words melted my moms heart.

At school, it was a bug day. We all celebrated the Lunar New Year. After we all had the Lunar New Year dumplings got by my friends mommy, my mommy and nani came in and got us some delicious cupcakes and juice. Everyone sang happy birthday and I blew the candle that said "4". A lot of us had two helpings of cupcake.

I had a half day at school which worked out perfect. Post school I had six of my friends(which I chose) come over to my home for pizza and to play. We were supposed to play the kinect but we just played with the toys in my room most of the time. It was fun though. I had a small accident and fell flat on my face, and tore my lip a bit but I was ok.

Maulin mama, mami and niam came to see me in the evening and they got me a wonderful cake! Yayy!! And so many people called me and wished me.. Thank you all for making my day!

Incy Vincy Makoda

I am almost 4 years old! My teachers are very happy and feel I have always been very expressive and talkative. I very well remember my hindi "incy vincy makoda" version of the english poem and I impressed all my uncles and aunts whom I drove aound with in my visit to Smokey Mountains, TN. They listened to me in awe and also took a video. I also sing "I hate love stories" as I remember it from the dance class I took in India last year.

I moved to a new place that is very close to my school. I have a beautiful room that has a huge glass wall on one side and I can see the statue of liberty and Bayonne bridge, it is beautiful. Anaya's school is a bit of a drive but dad takes her to school and I go with mom to pick her up. I am very friendly with her teachers and always enjoy chatting with them. I especially love the pretzels they have at the front desk and have learnt to politely ask fo them and say thank you when I get them everyday. We have stairs in our new home! I was telling mom I like my new home better than our old home because my new home has stairs. We do need to watch Anaya on those stairs though.
